I played D&D a couple years ago and was a Barbarian Half-Orc named Kannish. He was dumb and great and said, "Imma bearrrrrr" a lot.

I wish I could make it choose from my gifs instead, but yea. I like gboard a lot actually. I've found it much better than the stock keyboard and it lets me have multiple types of keyboards set up. I have one for French, IPA, Cyrillic, and a clipboard keyboard. I didn't know about the gifs though!

It's probably for the best.  If there was any coverage, people might have come out to vote against him.  Erie is a very conservative community.  School board isn't exactly a major political office--but I'm eager to see him do good.  Erie schools are a shit-show these days.  The current plan is to close all the high schools in town.  We need all the help we can get.

Pop Culture: General / Re: Wrestling is amazing

The WWE is a not-great company, but wrestling itself is wonderful. I recommend everyone put aside preconceptions and give it a try at some point. WWE offers a free month of their network and I'd be happy to make a list of good stuff to watch. There's also federations well outside WWE, like NJPW who are also wonderful.

I'm seriously messed up that as an actual honest to goddamn god Erie-ite, I had no idea we had a LGBT person running for any office in Erie that I could've fucking voted for.  I mean, seriously messed up.  Awesome that they won, but I read the news, newspapers, and etc. and am politically active and this completely went under the radar.  I know it was because of some kind of write-in thing...but it was really in the dark.  It hurts.

Has 2017 turned a corner? We can only hope.

The women, people of color, and LGBTQ candidates who made history in the 2017 election
Barrier-breaking candidates won races across the country on Election Day this year. The results were a parade of “firsts” from New Hampshire to North Carolina to Montana as women, people of color, and LGBTQ candidates became the first to win elections in their respective contests.Cities in Minnesota and Montana elected their first black mayors, and Charlotte, North Carolina, elected a black woman as mayor for the first time. Virginia elected its first Latina and Asian-American delegates. Transgender candidates won races in Virginia, Minnesota, California, and Pennsylvania.Tuesday was a big night for Democrats — and these historic “firsts” show that the party can run a diverse slate of candidates and win.
